Who Rescued Who - Amazing Rescue Organizations That Need Your Help

You’re a lover of cats, we are lovers of cats, and supporting those organizations that do amazing work for our feline friends is one of our passions. You may not know but Kitty Kasas was launched by the founders of the ARNI Foundation, which is a 20 year old non-profit, animal rescue shelter. ARNI (Animal Rescue Need & Intervention) was founded by Nicole (Nikki) Linn and Rusty Niedwick as a labor of love and a fundamental commitment to saving and improving the lives of homeless and abandoned animals. After an exhaustive search for pet products that would be practical in a shelter environment, they decided to manufacture their own line that would be practical, stylish and ‘shelter tough.’ Caring deeply for animals is deeply embedded in our organization. There are many other organizations out there doing great work, here are just a few fabulously feline friendly groups!

World Vets

You’ve no doubt heard of Doctors Without Borders, this is the animal equivalent. World Vets provides international aid for animals that would otherwise not have any access to veterinary care. They provide support through field service programs that include: spay/neuter treatments, disaster response program, training programs, and civil-military humanitarian aid.  Working in 46 countries and 6 continents, they state “At the core of World Vets’ values is the belief that all animals deserve kindness and compassion. ... we never lose sight of how critically important it is to provide a profound level of kindness and excellent care to each individual animal.”

Best Friends Animal Society

Having been around for over 30 years, Best Friends has a pretty lofty goal; “Bring about a time when there are no more homeless pets.” They are the largest no-kill animal sanctuary and help reduce the furry critters brought into shelters in the first place. They house about 1,600 animals in the Sanctuary and have over 20,000 acres of space. They also take on advocacy work, like Community Cats. Cats comprise the largest group of dying shelter pets and have reduced shelter pet deaths by as much as 65%.

Other Ways to Give to Pet Charities

There are tons of ways to give to shelters and rescue organizations around the country.

  • Amazon Smile; same shopping experience but different url and you select a charity of your choice to get a portion of the proceeds
  • Time; just about any organization will gladly accept your time, and the animals will happily accept some pets and cuddles! If you’re a clean freak, they can definitely use any amount of help.
  • PetSmart Charities; they facilitate nearly 1 of 10 adoptions nationwide and it happens to be kitten season, when kittens enter shelters at alarming rates.
  • Kitty Kasas; for every Kitty Kasa that is purchased, a donation is made to the ARNI Foundation. Win-win!

We love our furry friends and we know you do too! If you have any questions about ARNI or Kitty Kasas, contact us today.
